Refund policy

Short, predictable, paid in the same crypto.

Effective: 2026-05-01

14-day refund window if the domain hasn't activated yet. After activation, the domain is yours and no refund applies.

1. Refundable

  • Within 14 days of payment, and
  • The domain has not yet been activated (status is still pending_payment, pending_registration, or failed on the registry side).

In that case, full refund in the same crypto you paid with. Crypto refunds are best-effort given on-chain volatility — if BTC moved 12% between your payment and the refund, you get the same number of sats, not the same number of dollars.

2. Not refundable

  • After domain activation. The domain is yours; sell it elsewhere if you want.
  • After 14 days, regardless of activation status.
  • Multi-year registrations — refundable on the first year only, per the rules above. Subsequent years are not separately refundable.
  • Renewal payments — not refundable once the registry confirms renewal.

3. Failed registrations

If you paid and the registry rejected the registration (typo, premium pricing mismatch, jurisdiction restriction, etc.), we automatically refund within 7 days, no request required, full amount in the same crypto. You don't need to email.

4. How to request

From your billing dashboard, open the invoice and click Request refund. Pick a reason (Domain not registered / Wrong domain / Other) and a short note.

We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds settle on-chain within 24 hours.

5. Edge cases

  • Crypto delisted between payment and refund: we'll offer the refund in BTC equivalent at refund time, or USDT, your pick.
  • Payment underpaid (you sent less than invoiced): handled per the OxaPay reconciliation flow. If we never registered the domain, we refund the underpayment minus on-chain fees.
  • Domain transferred to a third party: you can't refund a domain you no longer hold. Resell it instead.

6. Disputes

If we say no and you disagree, email legal@bunkerdomains.com with the invoice number and the basis for your appeal. Counsel reviews; that's the final decision.

7. Chargebacks

We don't accept cards, so chargebacks aren't a thing. Crypto refunds happen via the dashboard or not at all.
